DESIGN
FABRICATED FASHION
Interdisciplinary collaboration between computation and fabrication, architecture, and fashion is revolutionizing the way we think about clothing. At the intersection of these fields lies a realm of endless possibilities, where innovation knows no bounds. Computers harness the power of digital tools to translate artistic visions into tangible prototypes, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in fashion.Being a designer in this interdisciplinary landscape means embracing collaboration, innovation, and a willingness to break free from tradition. It means seeing clothing not just as garments, but as wearable works of art that blur the lines between fashion, architecture, and technology.

digital design for wearables- Final Project
Final project of a parametrically generated corset garmet, inspired by Iris Van Herpven's work
I was chosen to collaborate closely with the assistant professor of practice in costume design and technology at Virginia Tech and the Taubman Museum in Roanoke, VA. I was tasked with developing a "fashion forward" interpretation of the portrait of Mrs. Norah Gribble, a patron of famour portrait artist John Singer Sargent.
Parametric design in Rhino, 3D Printing, and Design are all combined to create a new take on the future of fashion.

"Fashioning Sargent" is a new exhibition aimed at bridging the gap between the works of the famous portrait artist John Singer Sargent, Costuming, and Innovation.
COSTUMING FOR THEATER
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the School of Performing Arts, I’ve cultured relationships with fellow faculty and graduate students. Most importantly, I have been very supportive to the undergraduates taking the class in the costuming shop, directly assisting them with building and altering costumes for productions.
So far I’ve had a wonderful experience in my assistantship position, and I always look forward to seeing the work the School of Performing Arts has completed onstage in productions. While the costuming department is only one small part of a theater build, it’s extremely integral to the characters, their stories, and the production as a whole.
